Sabbit

The students of the Biotechnology department formed the Students Association of Biotechnology, BIT (SABBIT) as a govt. registered independent forum through which awareness about biotechnology and its prospects may be spread among the college students as well as the general public in the state. Among other activities, SABBIT organizes every year a one/two-day seminar/webinar on burning issues like: 

  • Recent trends in Biotechnological research...

  • Entrepreneurship opportunities in biotechnology etc...

SABBIT also organizes debate, scientific and review poster competitions. During the event, students get opportunities to interact directly with eminent scientists and professors in the country and abroad. In the past, Professors from Michigan University (USA), Ben Gurion University (Israel), and scientists from various reputed institutes like the DKFZ Cancer Institute, Germany have deliberated on current topics of biotechnology during these events...

  • One-day workshop on "Techniques on PCR" in association with SHRM Biotechnology on 17-01-2018 presented by BITS 2 BYTES in BIT TECH-FEST-2018.
  • One-day workshop on "Expression of Recombinant Protein with Western blotting verification" in association with Biobharati Life Sciences Pvt Ltd. on 28-02-2019 presented by BITS 2 BYTES in BIT TECH-FEST-2019.
