Placement Procedure

In Bengal Institute of Technology placement for Final Year students are usually done by two different ways. Firstly, campus recruitment drive is conducted in BIT Campus and secondly, it is done centrally in any other venue apart from BIT within the Techno India Group.

General procedure followed in campus recruitment drive by renowned companies

1. Aptitute Test: Aptitude test is mainly based on either general questions or core technical questions. General questions consist of logical reasoning and/or verbal ability test. Core technical questions comprise of questions from different subjects that are taught in the academics curriculum like C,C++,Java, Dot Net, Microprocessor, Microcontroller, Digital Electronics, Communication etc.
2. Programming Test Round: This particular round deals with writing up the programs in specified languages (Such as C,C++,Java etc).
3. Group Discussion: A specified topic will be given and students have to unveil their thought about that topic one by one.
4. Technical Round: Usually a one-to-one interaction round, the interviewer generally asks some technical questions.
5. HR Round: HR person of any company judges the attitude and temperament of a student by asking some suitable questions.
6. Telephonic Round: This round is mainly conducted for two purposes. Firstly, any key person is not present at venue and wants to interact with the candidate and secondly, for voice & accent test over the telephone if the company needs to know about voice & accent of a candidate.
7. Managerial Round (TCS): In this round interviewer mainly checks the confidence of the students and examines how they manage stress.
