Department of Computer Science And Information Technology

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology is the largest department in BIT, which started its journey back in 2000, with the very beginning of the Institute. With the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science & Information Technology, the department has always produced quality professionals, holding important positions in the IT industry in India and abroad. The department undertakes many joint projects and organize events in collaboration with the industry with the objective of connecting the students and their potential employers. The department has successfully conducted industry collaborated programs like Infosys Campus Connect Program, IBM great mind challenge, Wipro Mission 10x in recent years.



Vision

Impart quality undergraduate education on CSE & IT disciples to create proficient and demanding technocrats and  entrepreneurs with new ideas and innovations through advanced teaching-learning processes and by hard and soft skills development to take challenges of the changing industrial and societal environmental conditions

Mission

  • To provide quality education in the areas of computer sciences & engineering and information technology by offering state-of-the-art T-L processes and by inculcating ethical values amongst students to generate new knowledge and uphold enthuse.
  • To build a high ethical standards amongst students for undertaking future emerging challenges in the arena of industry, society, government and academia.
  • To nurture and develop soft skills and competence for taking leading responsibility by inculcating valued knowledge, characteristics and enthusiasm.

WINNER UNESCO INDIA AFRICA HACKATHON 2022

BIT is awestruck at this HISTORIC MOMENT of Lokesh Pandey's (CSE, 4 th year) magnificent success in the UNESCO INDIA AFRICA HACKATHON 2022. 
UNESCO India Africa Hackathon which recently happened in the beautiful campus of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, actually opens new avenues for cultural assimilation, showcasing skills for finding
 solutions to societal challenges and further strengthening "One World, One Family, One Future".
More than 600 innovators comprising Students from 22 African countries and Indian Students worked so hard together non stop 36 hours to develop solutions for 20 problem statements during 22nd - 25 th November 2022..
A big congratulation to Lokesh and his team "HEX CLAN" (UIA 402) for winning the 1st prize in their Problem Statement 'ENE G41'.
