  • The Students of 3rd Year ECE - Bhaskar Banerjee, Kaushik Mukherjee and Piyasa Mukherjee achieved 1st Prize by presenting a model "Intelligent Skimmer Boat" under the mentorship of Prof. Shovon Nandi in 'FOSET Innovative Model Competition for a Sustainable Society 2020'

 

  • The Students of 4th Year CSE - Devjyoti Saha, Diptangshu De, Pratic Ghosh, Sourish Sengupta  achieved 1st Prize by presenting a paper on  "Classification of Gender from Human Facial Images using Convolutional Neural Networks" under the mentorship of Prof. Tripti Majumdar in  11th Inter University Engineering, Science and Technology Academic Meet, FOSET  2020.

In 10th Inter University Engineering, Science and Technology Academic Meet – Kolkata, India, 31st March,2019 under the mentorship of Prof. U.Bhattacharyya and Prof. B. Roychoudhury.

 

  • The Students of 4th Year Biotechnology Department - A. Sengupta, M. Adhikari, S. Ganguly, T. Deb published the paper on “Micropropagation of Banana: A Promise of High Quality Production and Improved Food Security” in 2nd International Conference on Biotechnology and Biological Sciences – Kolkata, India, 27th and 28th July,2018 under the mentorship of Prof. U.Bhattacharyya and Prof B. Roychoudhury.

 

  • Suvam Sen  student of Biotechnology Department secured 83.30 Overall Percentile  in CAT 2019.

 

  • A project "Paytoll: Electronic Payment of User Fees at Toll Plaza" developed by the students of 2nd year Sagnick Biswas, Sayantika Dutta, Sayak Saha, Rohit Roy, Ravi Ranjan, Prodyumna Chaterjee awarded first runner-up of SIH 2019 in hardware section as a team named "Innoware" mentored by Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee.
  • A project "IoT Based Smart Water Metering" developed by the students of 2nd Year, Sagnick Biswas, Labhvam Kumar Sharma, Sayak Saha, Ravi Ranjan achieved "People's Choice Award" in IISF 2019 as a team named "Innoware" mentored by Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee.
  • A funded project "Implementation of IoT Based Intelligent Irrigation System for Smart Farming & Water Saving" is approved by Institution of Engineers (India) in Grant-in-Aid scheme to a group of students of BIT (Sagnik Biswas, Rohit Roy, Ravi Ranjan) guided by Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee & Prof. Arpita Chakraborty. (Project Status: ongoing)
  • A project “Smart Wheelchair with Inbuilt Health Monitoring System” developed by the team “CodeX” of 2nd year ECE lead by Rajdeep Sarkar and team members Arpan Saha, Gunjan Ganguly, Souradipta Dey under the mentorship of Prof. Kuntala Das placed among top 20 best projects under the vertical “Health and Wellbeing” of Future Proof Hackathon 2020.
  • A project “AQUAPAYWIK: IoT Based Smart Water Metering & Quality Monitoring using Data Analytics” developed by the students Sagnick Biswas, Sayak Saha, Ravi Ranjan, Labhvam Kumar Sharma won first prize in C category of Bengalathon 2019 as a team named “Innoware” mentored by Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee
  • A project “COVID SEVA: A Socio-Economic Crisis Response Tool” developed by the team “Innoware” of 3rd Year students lead by Sagnick Biswas and team members Labhvam Kumar Sharma, Sayak Saha, Ravi Ranjan, Soham Guhathakurata under the mentorship of Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee placed among top 20 best projects under the vertical “Crisis Response” of Future Proof Hackathon 2020
